The one-hour adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, the classic tale by L. Frank Baum that has been entertaining audiences for ages, features the Munchkin puppets and is tailored for audiences 2-7 years old. Rediscover the joy of following the yellow brick road with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion as they travel through a reimagined world of Oz.


Amber Dickerson (Dorothy). Originally from Carnesville, GA, Amber holds her B.F.A in Theatre Performance from Columbus State University and her B.S. in Developmental Psychology from CUNY. Other Vital Theatre credits include Pinkalicious: The Musical (Pinkalicious) and Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas (JoJo). Favorite credits include Bat Boy (Shelley), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Hermia), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Sally) and The Rocky Horror Show (Janet). Trevor Nalepka (Scarecrow/Hunk). is a New York actor who last season performed in the national tour of Skippyjon Jones: Snow What!? with TheatreworksUSA. He's very proud to be part of the UPROOT team and most recently performed in an installment at HERE Arts Center. Colin White (Tinman/Hickory) is ecstatic to join the cast and crew of the Wizard of Oz for Vital Theatre. He's a recent graduate of the Circle in the Square Theatre school Musical Theatre program from Plano, TX. Favorite roles include: Younger Brother in Ragtime (NCC Summer Theatre), Scott in Disaster! (NCC Summer Theatre), Shrek in Shrek the Musical(Dallas Young Artists), and Cinderella’s Prince/the Wolf in Into the Woods (Art Centre Theatre). Thanks to Holly, my family, friends, and mentors. Cliff Sellers (Lion/Zeke). Originally from Wilmington, DE and a recent graduate from the historic Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. A proud Alumni of Delaware All-State Theatre. He was most recently seen staring as "Agent Orion" in the National Tour of PBS's "Odd Squad: LIVE!". Danny DiMarino (Wicked Witch/ Wizard) is excited to make his Vital debut in Wizard of Oz! He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he studied Theater and Environmental Science. Originally from Cleveland, OH, Danny just celebrated his 1 year anniversary in New York City. During the summer, he performed in United We Stand, a song cycle presented through the New York Musical Festival. Some of his favorite past roles include Ram (Heathers), Mark (Rent), Pinocchio (Shrek), Sonny (Xanadu), and Ernst (Spring Awakening). Catie Shelley (Glinda/Aunt Em) Comfortable on both opera and music theatre stages, Catie is thrilled to be making her Glinda debut with Vital Theatre Company! Originally from New Brunswick Canada, she graduated from NYU Steinhardt with her Master's in Vocal Performance. Favorite roles include: Dorothy Brown in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Light Opera of New Jersey), Cora in Little Mary Sunshine (Musicals Tonight), Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Opera New Jersey) and Phyllis in Iolanthe (G&S Society of NS). Michael Schloegl (Director/Choreographer) is one of the founding members of Vital Theatre Company. His original show, Three Bears and A Babe, started the first Vital children's theatre season. He works regionally as a director-choreographer (Footloose, Grease, Bring it On!, All Shook Up, Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever). Michael is also a costume designer, playwright, and a children's book author/illustrator. His original writing credits include: It's Up In the Air!, Calling All Toys, The Chrismouse Story and the school musical touring show, History Time Henry. He has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe in shows such as: West Side Story, Oklahoma, The Will Rogers Follies, and A Chorus Line. As a theatre educator, he directs musical theatre shows and master classes for students throughout the New York tristate area and Canada.
